Our Philosophy Our School
Our child-centered, experiential programs inspire children with the joy of Judaism. Children thrive in our open, creative, welcoming, nurturing environment.
Pre-kindergarten through 7th grade classes meet once a week, on Sunday mornings at the Hellenic American Academy in Deerfield. Our three-hour Sunday program includes the study of Torah, prayer, Jewish living skills, celebrations, the arts, history, culture, ethics, values and Hebrew. Post-b’nai mitzvah students study twice monthly on Monday nights with Rabbi Eitan Weiner-Kaplow and Education Director Emily Ascher.
The curriculum for each grade has been carefully designed by the education committee and education director with guidance from Rabbi Eitan Weiner-Kaplow, to engage children at their age-appropriate level. Teaching methods vary to meet the needs of all children, with the understanding that each child is an individual with a unique set of strengths and interests.
